The illustration depicts the production of cans of vegetables.
Overall, the nine-step linear process is mostly automated and starts with sorting fresh vegetables from rotten ones and preparing them for further cooking, and ends with labeling ready cans of vegetables for sale.
Initially, the process begins with sorting and preparation of vegetables by putting products on a conveyor belt which transfers them to a large container. After that, the vegetables are cooked like soup and get their flavor only by adding extra spices, including salt and pepper. The ready vegetable soup is then placed in a huge oven and heated under ultra-high temperature, namely 145° Celsius. Subsequently, the heated soup is passed through a swift cooling stage in a huge freezer.
Following this, cans are put onto a long conveyor belt where they are processed. First of all, cans are sterilized with steam before being filled with cooled vegetable soup. Once cans are filled, they are closed and then washed to remove impurities. Finally, the cans are labeled and distributed for sale.
