The diagram above illustrates how chipboard is produced from wood and then used to make house furnishings.
Overall, the man-made and linear process of making chipboard contains two main stages, which are further divided into nine smaller stages. It starts with cutting trees and ends with making furniture for consumers.
First and foremost is the preparation stage. It starts with woodcutters cutting trees in various forests to obtain wood. Then, the wood is neatly trimmed into logs, which are then used to make wood chips. After that, the wood chips are dried at the machine and desiccated within 24 hours, creating steam that spreads through the air. Following that, the dried chips are placed in a dolly, where they can be stored for 1 to 4 weeks before being formed into chipboard.
Secondly, moving on to the production stage, the wood chips are mixed with glue and wax, allowing the mixture to become an ingredient for producing chipboard. After that, the mixture is shaped in a mold, which creates the product. So that, this is pressed to shape the pattern. And then, the chipboard is created from this, which is pressed through pressing.
Finally, the chipboard is used to produce house furnishings for customers and decorators.
