Overall, the production process consists of 8 main steps, starting from harvesting and storing corn, followed by processing steps such as grinding, cooking, fermentation, then separating the mixture, cleaning ethanol, storage, and finally distributing to gas stations. Also, some stages have specific times such as cooking for 4 hours, fermentation for 48 hours, cleaning ethanol for 5 hours.
For the first steps of the process (1–4). Firstly, the corn is harvested and stored, then ground into flour. Next, the cornmeal is cooked for 4 hours with water.
For fermentation and separation steps (5–6). Firstly, the mixture is fermented for 48 hours to produce ethanol. In the next step, the mixture is separated into solid (by-product) and liquid. Finally, the liquid (crude ethanol) is purified for 5 hours to produce pure ethanol.
For the final steps (7–8), the refined ethanol is stored. Finally, the ethanol is transported to gas stations for use as fuel.
