The illustration depitcs the process of creating and repurposing paper. In order to obtain paper, there are 10 different stages in its production and recycling process.
The first stage starts with collecting trees needed to produce paper. A machine drum will then remove the barks from the trees. After collecting the barks, a chipper will assist in a process called chipping, which produces wood chippings.
The next step is pulping through a machine called a refiner. The pulp is later processed through a machine which will result in rolling paper. Rolling paper can now be purposed as conventional paper such as newspapers. After the newspaper has fulfilled its purpose, it will later be collected in order to initiate the recycling process. The outdated newspaper will first be stripped of its ink, and will undergo the pupling stage again to create fresh papers. The process will be repeated in order to create and reuse paper.
