The diagram above illustrates the process of potato chip production in the factory. Overall, this is a man-made process consisting of 7 steps, starting with checking the quality of the potatoes and ending with packaging the potato chips.
Firstly, laborers sift each potato to ensure its quality. Secondly, qualified potatoes are moved to a washer machine where they are washed in cold water to remove any mud. After cleaning, the potatoes are then sent to a peeling machine to remove their skins, with the potato peels and starch being discarded.
Subsequently, the potatoes are placed on a bucket conveyor and enter a slicer machine to be cut into slices. Before these slices enter the deep fryer for frying, they undergo a drying process on a flatbed conveyor.
Once fried, the potato chips are seasoned and transferred to a flat belt conveyor to proceed with the packaging process. This packaging process includes two methods: bag packing and bulk can filling.
