Overall, the man-made process of making potato chips consists of 7 stages, beginning with checking the quality of the potatoes, and ending with packaging.
At the first stage of the process, potatoes are checked carefully by workers. After that, those qualified potatoes are put into a washer with cold water to remove mud before being peeled and starched by using a peeler at the next stage. Then, those washed potatoes are cut into small slices when they are conveyed to a slicer.
At the following step, the slicer potatoes are dried on the flat bed conveyor in the air to prepare for the next step. At the fifth stage, the potatoes are fried in a deep fryer. Before packaging, those fried potatoes are added with salt. Finally, there are two ways to package. The potato chips can be put in the bag packer, or in the bulk can filler.
