The diagram illustrates the floor plan of a public library which was used to be, compared to the current design. Although the outline of the building and the area have not differed, the interior design and the use of rooms changed totally. Also, some new facilities are added to the new one.
Some new facilities were added to the new design. For instance, the end right room which was for children’s book transferred to lecture room. Also, the end left room which was for CDs, videos and computer games transfered to storytelling event and children’s fiction books and two new sofa were added to this room. While, the computers are brought to the left room right after the entrance. And also, a room which is located to the right of the entrance changed to cafe, which was used as enquiry desk.
The two middle rooms which were as adult non-fiction and adult fiction book changed to adult fiction and reference books ,respectively. The old two tables and chairs were placed in front of the entrance omitted from the central lobby and there are some vacant space when one enters the library.
