Comparing the Central library layouts, drastic changes can be seen in the central area. 20 years before tables and chairs were placed there. Now it has been removed. The space right to the central area was occupied by adult non-fiction books, 20 years back. Currently It has be replaced with adult fiction books, information desk and 3 self-service machines. The path Left to the central area was used for adult fiction books – later, All kind of reference books were placed their.
New room has been built for cafeteria on the right after entrance. This corner was taken by enquiry desk before. Children’s books area at the Northeast corner is replaced by lecture room. Reading room containing magazines and newspapers left to the entrance has been changed to computer room. North-west corner room has been expanded and Resets of sofas have been set up. This room is also used for conducting story telling events and an area for Children’s fiction books.
