The diagram shows the Central Library’s floor plans before and after 20 years of layout.
Overall, what stands out from the diagram is that there were significant changes over the 20 years. Besides, almost all features were altered entirely apart from the adult fiction books.
To begin with, the plan that was implemented in the past was divided into two sides, and each side consisted of three sections such as adult fiction books, children’s books, reading rooms, and others. Moreover, tables and chairs were situated in the centre of the library, and also, in the top left-hand corner of the building, there was a room where people could play CDs, videos, and computer games.
Nowadays, this floor plan has completely changed and added new kinds of appliances that are convenient for everyone. For instance, there are storytelling events, children’s fiction books, lecture room, adult fiction books, self-service machines, and others. Another interesting point is that there is a café in the bottom right-hand corner of the library.
In fact, all facilities have been changed totally. For one thing, instead of children’s books, has been established lecture room. Besides, tables and chairs were removed; currently, there are no such facilities.
