The following step involves pickling, which is handled by salt and acid solution in barrels, highlighting the increase in the lifespan of hides. This is followed by two days of tanning, happening in a chemical reaction. Afterward, these materials are colored and softened by dyes and oil before being machine-dried to eliminate the residual moisture. Ultimately, a layer of wax is applied by hand, imparting a polished finish and longevity to the leather.
