The diagram illustrates the life cycle of female mosquitoes. Overall there are four main stages in the developments of female mosquitos, from breeding of the mosquitoes to the molting of the larvae before the larval stages and end up becoming adults.
At the beginning of the life cycle, female mosquitoes hatch eggs in week one, after which these eggs transform into larval shapes in the first stage. Then, an increase shown on week 3 which transforms into the second larval stage. A week later, it was changed into a third stage that was bigger than previous shapes. Not only that, but those previous larvae also get much bigger over two weeks before continuing the process.
In the final stages, it was on week 6 that the fourth larval stage will transform into pupal stages which can be seen from the size of the larval that have bigger size and also forming a head and tail. On week 7 to 8, a notable development can be seen as the pupas become fully-grown mosquitoes and the life-cycle repeats.
