The given process chart demonstrates the problems that are caused to nature during the production of a product.
Overall, it is apparent that generally a product life cycle includes a 7-step process. However, there are two additional steps that are carried out during its lifecycle. While the process starts with planning and designing the product, it ends by either disposing of or recycling the same. Next, the cycle continues by gathering feedback from the consumers.
Planning and designing is the first and foremost step in manufacturing any product, which is followed by consumption of material and energy sources that includes gathering raw materials. Afterward, these gathered materials undergo production where they are combined to form a finished product, which leads to the fourth step of this process where it is packed and distributed so it can be accessible to the masses.
The fifth step consists of marketing the product and driving sales. Next, the products are used by the customers and are disposed of or reintroduced in this cycle by recycling them. Lastly, feedback is requested from the customer, and changes, if any, are introduced in the planning and designing of the product.
