The diagram shows a life cycle of silkworms, ranging from the egg to hatching state, larvae state, cocoon state, adulthood and the mating state which revolves around to the egg. Showing how long it took to hatch and grow
It begins with multiple eggs, each eggs hatch into moult which are newly hatched silkworms. The hatching state takes about 3 to 4 days, newborn moult takes about 7 days to reach its final form and into a ripe silkworm. It began to utilize its silk filament to form a cocoon, inside the cocoon the silkworm started to grow and develop wings.
After about 10 to 12 days in the cocoon, the newly formed like moth emerges from the cocoon and begins its adulthood life, find a mating partner. Reproducing it species into multiple eggs and this makes it into a lifecycle.
Overall, after hatching from an egg. The moult began to grow bigger and slightly longer, this process takes about 6 to 8 days to reach its new form, a ripe silkworm and continues to make a cocoon. In the cocoon, the silkworm slowly grows into its new form which takes around 10 to 12 days. After emerging from the cocoon, it begins to find a mating partner and reproducing its species.
