Overall, it is a 7-stage, man-made linear process. It begins with growing sugar cane and finally results in the production of sugar.
With regard to the preparation stages, sugar canes are grown for a period of 12 to 18 months. Subsequently, they are harvested either manually by workers or mechanically using machines. At the third stage, these sugar canes are passed through a machine where they are crushed to extract the juice.
Turning to the fourth step, the extracted juice is filtered through a limestone filter, after which the purified juice is heated in an evaporator and the juice forms syrup. At the penultimate stage, the ready syrup is processed in a centrifuge, which separates sugar crystals from the syrup. Finally, the sugar crystals are dried and then left to cool.
