The infographic understudy demonstrates the production of sugar from sugarcane.
The process involves seven interconnected stages, transforming raw sugarcane into refined sugar through a series of mechanical and thermal treatments. Thus can be divided into 3 primary stages starting with the growing and harvesting of the sugarcane, followed by extraction and purification of juice and eventually crystallization and cooling of sugar crystals.
The process commences with the growing of sugarcane, the longest part of the process, taking about 12-18 months, after the growth the sugarcanes are harvested through two methods first through machines and second hand cutting then the harvested sugarcanes are crushed in an crushing machine.
In the second part of the process the juice from the crusher is purified through the limestone filter then its collected into an chamber where the heat is used to make juice into syrup. In the second last part of the process sugar is separated from the syrup by the process of centrifuge. At last the sperated sugar crystals are stored in large container for drying and cooling of sugar crystals.
