The two maps illustrate the library layout on the ground floor from 2001 to 2009.
Overall, the most noticeable change would be the addition of several bookshelves of different genres. Furthermore, the development included some digital hardware attachments.
The initial blueprint had self-help and history books on the left side of the librarian’s desk, which was at the front of the entrance. The fiction books could be found beside the history section and behind the tables. The layout also included newspapers and periodicals on the right side of the tables. The stairs gave access to other parts of the library. Which was adjacent to the librarian’s desk. However, everything else was altered except the librarian’s desk, the entrance, and the stairs by 2009.
The latter format depicts that the self-help books and the history section were reduced to add more types of books, for instance, kitchen, economics, and law. A new children’s books section took the place of fiction. The tables went from a square design to a more stretched look. The newspapers and periodicals were removed to place films and DVD segments. Which was right beside the newly added computers.
