The given diagram clearly demonstrates the multi-stage process of how plastic bottles are collected, sorted, and transformed through various mechanical and thermal procedures in order to be fully recycled and eventually turned into new, usable products.
Overall, throughout the entire recycling process, plastic bottles gradually change their initial form as they move through several transformative stages – first being collected and sorted, then thoroughly washed, compressed, finely ground into small flakes, and eventually melted at high temperatures to be reshaped into completely new, durable products for reuse.
Initially, trown into dedicated bin plastic bottles are collected by a truck. After claiming bottles, they are transported to particular recycling centre for sorting. Once it is separated from other types of waste, all the plastic is compacted into blocks and transported to the next section.
At the next stage, the recievedblocks are grinded into flakes. During the crushing, ground plastic is washed. Afterwards, the clean pieces are turned into plastic pellets and raw material appears by applying heating. Eventually, final products which are plastic, clothes, pencils and etc. are made from raw material which was made from old plastic.
