The diagram illustrates the process of handcrafting a violin.
The process consists of three main steps: Cutting, Pasting, and Assembling. The key material needed for making a violin is a fine and thin piece of wood.
Initially, the thin wood piece is cut into two shapes – the front and back parts – using a saw to give them the shape of a violin. Then, a part of the front section is curved into an f-hole shape with a cutting tool. Subsequently, a bass bar is glued onto the front part of the violin. Meanwhile, unshaped rib strips are heated into a U-shape using a heating tool. The next step involves pasting the ribs, front part, and back part together using glue.
Finally, the body of the violin, scroll, and neck are assembled. Additional parts are then affixed to the violin, it is varnished meticulously, and the violin is complete.
