The diagram below illustrates the product life-cycle of the car. Overall, the process of car product life cycle involves 10 partly automated steps that can be categorized in three main stages: raw materials mining, car using, and selling cars for scrap material.
In the first stage, raw materials are the main character, in which they are mined, to form lately the components. Once components are formed, both, raw materials and components are delivered to factories where cars are manufactured. At this point of the process, cars may be mostly sold through dealerships. The life of a car is estimated to have on average 3 owners, including the reparations and services the car could have needed.
When cars are useless anymore, a new stage starts. At this point of the process, we are looking on the first stage of the product life cycle of a car, the obtention of raw materials and, in this case, recycling of usable scrap for new cars. That scrap is obtained from selling cars, and it may have two paths; this parts are unrecyclable, so here ends the life cycle, or as mentioned before, it can be recycled to form components or even recycled components as well.
