The life cycle of both plastic and glass is illustrated in the picture above. Overall, the cycle encompasses eight main stages which require various equipments.
First of all, plastic and glass bottles are considered unusable and thrown to trash in a three to eight weeks period. Then, they are transported to a recycling facility by trucks, and they are sorted. When glass products are categorised by their color, plastic things are separated according to their thickness and quality.
After the sorting process, glass is crushed, while plastic is bundled. Following this, glass particles are washed thoroughly, meanwhile bundles of plastic is just being shredded. Consequently, cleaned small pieces of glass are melted in one apparatus, and then reshaped in another. At the same time, particles of plastic are being molten and shaped into new products in the one machine. Ultimately, novelties are ready for usage, and they have three to eight weeks to commence the circle again.
