The picture illustrate how the pencils can be produced.
Overall, there are 12 stages in the process of pencils production, which meanly includes growing of the trees, its treating and production.
The process begins when the tree seeds are planted to ground and after 4 months replanted to another place. After 14 years, when trees have already thinned, they are chopped down. After being chopped down, trees are cut to thin slats which are treated.
After 60 days, when slats are already ready black lead is glued on its grooves. Following this, having been glued, slats are covered by another one forming a sandwich. In the next step, these sandwiches are hard pressed with hot temperatures. After cooling, sandwiches are cut into long sticks, which are panted, shaped and stamped. The process finishes when ready pencils are packed and can be delivered to the supermarkets
