Looking at the details of the process. Firstly, the used cans are collected from the trash cans and transported by trucks, where they are cleaned to remove impurities. Following this, these cans are sorted to check their ability to recycle and eliminate single-use products and shredded into pieces to make them easier to handle.
Next, these crushed cans are heated and melted at a high temperature to be converted to a molten state. At the fifth step of the process, the molten aluminum is put into a mold, where it forms two sheets, ranging in thickness from 2.5 mm to 6mm. These sheets are raw materials for producing various products, especially beverages. In the United Kingdom, 74% of recycled cans are used by residents.
