The diagram illustrates how aluminium drink cans are recycled in daily life.
As an overall view, there are 10 main stages in the process of recycled aluminium beverage cans, beginning with the transport of used cans and ending with the production of the new cans. These stages take a total of 6 weeks from start to finish.
Initially, the waste of used cans is delivered by trucks and then deposited by the recycling factory. After that, these cans are washed before they are crushed at the next stage. After crushing, these cans are continued to be processed in the factory, leading to the erasing of designs by chemicals.
Subsequently, the crushed cans are heated and then shaped in the mould to ensure they have the same size. In addition, the weight of these cans are measured before going to be rolled in the rolling equipment. Eventually, new recycled cans are generated ready for use again.
