The diagram illustrates the process of manufacturing cocoa beans.
In general, there are three main stages involved in the process, beginning with picking cocoa beans and ending with the distribution of cocoa products to consumers.
The manufacturing process starts when whole beans are collected, whose shells get removed afterward. Consequently, beans are dried and then pressed into cocoa liquor. After this stage is completed, it undergoes two different paths: further pressing or further refining. Regarding the first path, the cocoa liquor transforms into cocoa cake and cocoa, with the former product being grinded into cocoa powder. The next step involves selling the powder to consumers or delivering it and cocoa to the Food and Beverage industry.
In regard to the other pattern, which is further refining, the liquor turns into industrial chocolate and then combines with the cocoa from the previous path and sugar to make the finished products. Finally, the finished chocolates are distributed to consumers.
