The diagram demonstrates the stages and facilities involved to generate electricity from coal
Looking from an overall perspective, there are 8 primary steps, starting with the extraction of coal from the mine, followed with the grinding process, and ending up with electricity being distributed to households and factories.
Regarding the first 5 steps. Initially, the coal is taken from the mine, piled up before being ground in a crusher. After that, the crushed coal is delivered to a gasifier where it is burned to produce gas. Subsequently, the gas is cooled down in a dedicated facility which also emits the excess heat.
Following the cooling stage, a cleaning process is involved before being sent to a gas power plant. At this point, the gas is generated into electricity, which also releases waste heat. Finally, the converted electricity is distributed to households and factories for daily usage.
