The diagram illustrates the electricity production of coal. Overall, there are 8 stages of this process starting from extracting coal from mine and ending with contributing electricity to domestic households and industrial areas.
To commence with, a massive amount of coal is extracted from the mining site. Then, they are ground into smaller fragments by using a crusher. Subsequently, these broken pieces are transported to the specific sector for the gasification. A large volume of heat is required to gasify and turn the coal fragments into gas. In the next step, gas is cooled down in the dedicated facility and released waste heat simultaneously in the process.
After cooling, the resulting gas undergoes the cleaning process before being sent to the gas power plant. In this stage, the gas is converted into electricity, which also emits excess heat. Ultimately, the produced electricity is made available for consumption in both residential and industrial activities.
