The depicted diagram above illustrates how olive oil is produced through some processes. Overall, there are eight main stages, starting with harvesting and finishing with oil storage.
To begin, olives are harvested from the trees and collected in a sizable vat to be ready for washing. This step includes a de-leafing approach. After that, the olive mill goes through a special machine and that stage is called crushing.
The formed olive paste is ready for malaxering in a separate box. It requires a warm temperature, but should not be above 27 degrees. The next step involves a centrifugal press and as a result, we can get pomace or virgin oils. While pomace could be processed at some refined factories and delivered to them by van, virgin oils can be used in two different ways, depending on the used techniques.
The first possible method is decantation after which solids and water are revealed. On the other hand, separation as a process means the usage of a complex tool after that water is wasted. Both ways meet their ends in the storage tank.
