The illustration illustrates the many steps water goes through in order to be treated and purified. The diagram gives information on the water treatment steps starting with air being pumped in to the distribution of the water with faucets.
The process begins with air being taken in through intake screens and get pumped through the duct using air pumps into the flash mix. It then proceeds to the flocculation chamber and into the settling basin, after that it goes into a chlorine chamber. The water flows into the ducts and is filtered, disinfected then pumped where it can finally be used through faucets.
In the flash mix, the air is incorporated with materials, it then goes into the flocculation chamber where the air condenses. The settling basin separates different densities into different layers which filters the water out in the filter membrane . The chlorine and disinfection processes allow he water to be free from bacteria and ready for use.
