Overall, there are four stages involved in the growth of butterfly, begging with the spawning and ending with the pupal stage.
Specifically, the cycle begins when the adult male butterfly calls its partner. Next, the mating period is happened. The step after this, once the mating has finished, the spawning is able to start when the female butterfly lays a massive of eggs in the plants where the eggs of butterflies is nurtured. That number of eggs develop into the embryo inside each egg. This step takes place between two and three weeks. After the development of the embryo, they also have the appearance of immature insects, which are called caterpillar. In this time, their body are incomplete but grow quickly in size.
The next step is when caterpillars shed their skin many times and create cocoons which is the place insects are protected inside. Then, in the growth of the caterpillars skin-shedding, about two hours, pupae will be created by the caterpillars. The total process accounts for two months. Once the final steps has been completed, the metamorphosis of a larva into butterfly occurs. Pupae lies in cocoon continues to transform into a butterfly. They gradually get out of their cocoons and become the adult butterfly. Finally, the lifespan is started again when the adult butterfly enter the copulate process.
