The picture illustrates how fruits are canned. Looking from an overall perspective, it is readily apparent that this combination of man-made and natural processes involves three main stages, starting with initial collection and transportation, followed by cleaning and processing, and lastly, the production of consumer products.
The process commences with ripe fruits being harvested by hand before being sent to a factory. In the factory, the fruits are cleaned of dirt and checked for quality, and placed into cold storage to keep them fresh. The resulting fruits’ weight is measured, cleared of skins and seeds, and cut into several slices.
Once sliced, the pieces are put into special cans, which are then sealed, cooked, and sterilised. The final products are then labelled, packed into storage, and delivered to supermarkets for further consumption.
