The given pictures illustrate the way in which Liverton docks have changed for tourism purposes since 1980.
Looking at the illustration, it is immediately evident that the docks have been completely redeveloped. Beside the river, all of the features have been changed, especially since all the ships had disappeared. Additionally, over the period of 45 years, the docks have undergone dramatic transformation with several largest changes including infrastructure and amenities.
In the past, the northern river bank was characterized by the presence of two warehouses in the northwest and in the northeast and a crane that was sandwiched between them. On the other hand, there were a warehouse opposite the northern crane and another crane adjoining to it in the southwest. Moreover, four ships were docked in the middle of the river.
Today, drastic developments have been made to the docks. Primarily, regarding the river itself, the previous ships are no longer present. Instead, a ship museum has been constructed on the western side, adjacent to the bank in the north. In addition to this, a bridge has been constructed to connect both banks and serve moving purposes, accompanied by a flood barrier to protect citizens. Looking at the banks, the northern bank boasts a sailing club on the crane position, an educational center as well as a children’s playground that have been converted from two warehouses in the northwest and in the northeast respectively. Similarly, there are three main buildings on the southern bank, including a new hotel, apartments to replace the warehouse and a parking space. All three of them are accompanied by a river walk that stretches along the bank
