The first GPS point represents the artisanal fishing boats equipped with GPS location devices. The second GPS point represents a certified shellfish international market where local and international consumers receive shellfish. The third GPS point indicates a shellfish processing plant that processes the catch and a labeling system that attaches a barcode label to certify the catch. Additionally, there is a monitor in Santiago that is connected to the GPS system for automated monitoring of shellfish boats.

Overall, the process of labeling and generating product codes for sea products such as molluscs is not complicated enough, but plays a key role in people’s lives as it simplifies the information given in general. The process of marking contains a few steps from taking information where boats with goods are located, then the responsible person receive the data about ships location, after that, he transfers data to marking system in order to generate barcodes. Followed by shellfish processing where products are being cleaned from unnecessary additives and dried out. After that, the processed production is being delivered all over the world by various transports such as planes or lorries, and then goods get to international stores.
