Asia accounts for almost 45% of the world internet usage, while Europe is two times less than Asia, representing about 22 per cent. Latin America and Caribbean make up roughly one tenth of the global total, whereas North America is bigger only by 2%, constituting 12%. Other regions have not reached the internet usage over 10%.
Instant messaging is the most popular activity, representing 60 per cent of the total internet usage. Whereas online videos are slightly lower at 55%, making up nearly 55%. Social networking and music have the identical proportion of the whole usage, accounting for 40 per cent both. The lowest percentage of internet use have podcasts, constituting approximately 25% of the total internet consumption.
