Overall, it is evident that Asia was a leader of internet usage, whereas Oceania and Australia consumed it least of all. Meanwhile, the highest contribution was represented by instant messaging in contrast to listening to podcasts, which was turned to be the least widespread.
Although in Asia internet usage made up 44.8%, in Europe, which is known to be the nearest region, the percentage showed halved results, just over 22.1%. The North and Latin America comprised approximately identical internet share, 12.0% and 10.4% respectively. Middle East accounted for 3.4%, while Africa made up twice as much as the latter, 6.2%. Oceania and Australia’s percentage constituted just over one hundredth of total share, 1.1%
Regarding the categories, in which internet was spent, short messages are the most common, comprising nearly 60%. Watching online videos represented relatively similar percentage, 5% less than chatting. Listening to music and socialising accounted for precisely identical share, both for 40%. Surprisingly, people less intended to listen to podcasts, making up approximately 25%.
