At first glance, Internet use in Asia covered nearly half of the proportion. In general, instant messaging is the highest purpose of internet.
According to the diagram, Asia has the highest number of people using the Internet in their daily lives which numbered nearly a half (44.8%). after Asia, there is Europe with 22.1% in internet use which is nearly half of Asia’s proportion. The remaining continent, North America, Latin America/Caribbean, Africa, Middle East, and Oceania/Australia, has only slight differences of internet usage (12.0%,10.4%, 6%, 3.4%, 1.1%, respectively).
Moreover, the bar chart shows that approximately 60% of the internet in the world is being used mainly for delivering messages. Not only does it mainly used for instant messaging, but people also use internet for watching online videos more than half of the proportion but a little below the messaging purpose. Music and social networking have a similar percentage of 40% apiece. Meanwhile, the podcast is the least reason why people use the internet with only about 30% from the whole proportion.
