The given pictures illustrate the way in which Felixstone changed for tourism urbanizable purposes between 1967 and 2001.
Looking at the illustration, it is immediately evident that some old features were still there, whereas others such as fish market and farmland had all gone. Additionally, over the period from the 1967 to 2001, the zone had undergone dramatic transformation with several large changes including infrastructure, housing areas and amenities.
In 1967, the golf course, the hotel and cafe in the southwest and the high street remained unchanged. However, some other facilities that used to occupy the northeastern and southern parts of the town, including the fish market, the pier and the farmland, were demolished to make way for new developments such as apartments, a swimming pool, a tennis court, and a private beach.
By that year, changes had been made to other feathers, the most noticeable of which was the development of the northeastern and southern parts of the town. This area was added with a car park next to the hotel, and there was an extension of the beach with a new public beach and a private beach. Apartments, a swimming pool and a hotel were erected and replaced the former fish market, while a tennis court was constructed on the previous farmland. Furthermore, a row of wind turbines was constructed along the southwestern coast.
