Overall, there are a number of procedures involved in the production and recycling of glass goods. It is also noticeable that the creation of glass starts with mixing different types of substances, while glass reformation begins with collecting used glass.
At the beginning of the production, sand, soda ash, limestone and some other chemicals are mixed together into a fine mixture. Then, the prepared mixture is sent into a glass furnace where it is melted using 1500° C temperature. In the following stage, the melted formula is shaped using a molten glass blower. Finally, glass containers such as bottles, pots and so on are acquired.
For the recycling process, used glass goods are collected and sorted according to their colour. Afterwards, these glasses are washed to remove any impurities, if present. Later, these are crushed into dust and melted using a furnace to produce a mix. At the last stage, the mix is molded to prepare new glass products.
