The origin of sedimentary rock in coastal areas is illustrated by the diagrams. Overall, sedimentary rock comes from the crack from the mountainside, it becomes fragment, and finally pour from river into sea, creating layers on sea bed and it turns into last form after some chemical reactions.
Firstly, the rainfall makes some parts of the mountainsides become crack. This leads to the expansion of preceding fissures and because of the rainfall frozen water, rock is being broken. After that, stones and rocks’ fragments dislodge from the mountainside and turn itself into river, where the downstream transportation happens. In this progess, pebbles and sand grains are created thanks to the erosion of rocks and stones.
Leaving for the sea, there are layers with pebbles and sand grains as textures are exist on sea bed. At this step, pebbles are starting to change its form after some phycical and chemicals reaction such as water and water-borne. Lastly, the solidification of pebbles and grains create sedimentary rock, and they can be able to see at low tide view.
