The maps illustrate the changes that took place on the Riversdale University campus between 1973 and 2010.
Overall, the campus experienced significant development and modernization during this period. The most notable changes include the removal of the nature reserve, the construction of new academic buildings, and the expansion of parking facilities.
In 1973, the western part of the campus contained a nature reserve beside the sporting fields and ovals. To the north, there were three main academic buildings: the Economics Building, the Fine Arts Building, and the Student Union. In the central area stood the Social Science Building and the Library, while the Administration and Science Buildings were located on the eastern side. A car park was also available to the northeast of the campus.
By 2010, several major modifications had occurred. The nature reserve was completely removed to make way for Car Park B, and a Medical School building was planned for construction nearby (scheduled for 2019). The Fine Arts Building had been replaced by the Information Sciences Building, and the Social Science Building was expanded and renamed the Law and Social Sciences Building. Additionally, the original car park became Car Park A. Despite these changes, the Library, Administration Building, and Science Building remained in their original positions.
