The maps describe the shifts in the layout of a library from 1975 to the present.
Overall, the library has undergone some significant transformations, including the addition of modern facilities, improved accessibility, expanded reading and shared areas.
In 1975, the library had a books and magazines sections located on the left side near the entrance, while two sections of new books were placed on the right. There was also a small shared area with bookshelves in the center and the library desk was situated in the top-right corner. While the large section of bookshelves in the bottom left next to the toilet, the children’s book areas was in the bottom right.
At present, the books and magazines area has completely been removed to give space to a new computer section. One of the new book section has been replace by wheelchair access, which shows an improvement in accessibility for people with disabilities. In addition, the central bookshelves has been removed to make room for a coffee area and the shared area has been relocated and expanded to the center, near the library desk. However, the bookshelves and children’s book area have remain unchanged.
