The Illustration gives comparison between the layout of West Park Secondary School when it was just built in 1950 and the change of facilities after the redevelopment in 1980 and 2010. Generally, there were contrasting changes of facilities from 1950, while 1980 and 2010 share similar facilities and arrangements.
In 1950, the West Park School was located to the east part of the area while facing the main road. There was a housing estate located to the west of the school building and playground in the southeast corner of the area. On the other side, there was farmland that was located to the west of the playground.
Although there was a redevelopment in the next thirty years, the location of the school as the main building remained the same. New facilities were added to the area including a science block in the middle and a new addition of a car park that is located to the west of the science block. The old farmland was replaced with a sports field while the playground placement remained the same. In 2010, they enlarged the car park to the south west corner of the area because of that the area for the sports field and playground were shrinked.
