The illustration reveals how West Park Secondary School changed during the period from 1950 to 2010. The shifts regarded the locations of diverse buildings which were next to the school.

It is evident from the diagram that throughout the period of 60 years, the school, a playground and a main road kept their places, while another parts of the complex witnessed changes. For instance, the houses and the farmland disappeared at all.

Between 1950 and 1980, the houses were totally replaced by the car park and a science block. The farmland was converted to a sports field, whereas other components such us the school, the main road and the playground remained on the same locations.

Over the following 30 years, the science block, the school, the playground did not change, while the sports field experienced a significant shift – its area was extremely reduced and the most of its territorie was equipped for the car park.
