The diagrams illustrated the transformation from a small fishing village into a large European tourist resort. Overall, there are several major changes that mainly involving the construction of hotels and road infrastructure.
In 1974, in the west side there was a large woodland and a village. Next to the woodland, there was a plenty of olves trees. Moreover, in the south there was a sea that had a harbour and boats in the coastline and also near that location it had a fishing village where the fisherman lived. In the mountain, the village raised sheep and goats.
Therefore, in 2004 the population rose up from 12.000 to 80.000 and 50,000 tourist beds. The village on the northwest was remained the same while other than that, there was a lot of changes. The resort replaced the woodland into a golf course and added tourist shops in the village. There was also a road that connected village into beach that had hotels, homes of locals, and original village by the side. Moreover, the olives also expanded by added more variety such as fruits and also vegetable for hotels.
In conclusion, the development from 1974 to 2004 had made the area larger including many new building such as hotels, golf course, tourist shops and many more.
