The maps illustrate how the biomedical campus of a university will be upgraded in the future. Overall, the campus is set to undergo significant developments, characterised by the introduction of new specialised departments and the expansion of existing facilities. Moreover, the road network is planned to be redesigned.
In the northern part, the large area of trees currently in the top left-hand corner will be destroyed, making a way to build two new rooms: Gene-tics 1 and Bio-imaging. In the center, a horizontal road which divides the campus to three parts, is designed for removal. In the top right-hand corner, the car park will be repurposed specially for students.
In the southern position, this area will experience many developments. In the right hand corner, while the positions will remain unchanged, Gene-tics 2 and Biotech will be upgraded in size to serve more research and students. Furthermore, the Biochemistry building will be relocated slightly northeast and designed in L-shaped. The adjacent trees in the bottom-left corner will be cleared to make a way for the new Staff car park which connects to the L-shaped road. Despite many developments, the two lab buildings will remain unchanged in the future.
