The diagram illustrates the process involved in preparing raw materials for tile production and the stages for manufacturing them. Overall, the process consists of seven main stages, beginning with the mixing and grinding of clay and water and ending with the substance being fired inside a kiln.
To begin with, clay and water are first placed into the grinder and mixer to make it moist and a slurry. The mixture of clay and water is then passed through a filter process to extract the moisture. Afterwards, Powder is being thrown away from the spray dryer and tile press proceed.
In the subsequent stages, the newly formed tiles are dried in a drying chamber in a moderate heat ranging from 100C and 200c for 1 to 3 days. Once dried, tiles are coated in a glazing machine. They are then fired in a kiln under higher temperature phase between 1000C and 1250C for 20 to 30 minutes. Finally, the tiles are formed and ready to be used.
