The given diagrams describe the transformation of a student accommodation in 2010 and the present time.
In general, although the number of student bedrooms has increased, the internal layout of the accommodation remains untouched, except for the extra en-suite room. In addition, there is a new car park for students, coming with a small change in the garden’s layout.
In 2010, the main entrance of the building was on the left side, which led to a big hallway. There were three bedrooms for students in total, each located far away from the others for the purpose of privacy. Individuals living there were fully provided with basic facilities: bathroom, living room, and kitchen, allowing students to live conveniently. Regarding the external amenities, three areas were used as gardens, serving as places for outdoor activities.
In present days, the main entrance and hallway of the building stay unchanged, while the number of student bedrooms is multiplied, plus an en-suite room. This change highlights the importance of sleeping and relaxing after harsh days at school. Required rooms for daily activities such as bathroom and kitchen stay unchanged, except for the living room being switched to a bedroom. The same situation is true for the small garden outside, which has been destroyed for another bedroom. In terms of external facilities, the downside garden now has been replaced by a car park, and the upside ones has been built in larger size.
