The diagrams illustrates a floods affected town in the UK and also describes resolutions in two different ways.
Overall, the UK-based town’s land is completely afffected because of flooding except in the extreme north and south poles of the area. Furthermore, both the solutions of relocation and building dams have there own pros and cons.
The idea of relocating includes shifting industrial park and residential area closer to river bole in the north. On the other hand, commercial district is proposed to move downwards in the south direction. This proposition has a high cost equisition as the main demerit, however the river environment remains stable.
Turning to the dams building as a solution which proposes to construct reservoirs in river awl and bole. Moreover, the dams then will be connected through channels for a secure flow. This is a cost effective solution to solve the flooding issue. Conversely, the land of the town will be turned into reservoir space deducing the total area of the town.
