The bar chart gives information about the different levels of post-school qualifications in Australia according to the rate of genders that held them in 1999.
Overall, it can be seen that there were educational levels, which the men more qualified than the women, like, skilled vocational diploma, postgraduate diploma and Master’s, while in other levels, namely, undergraduate diploma and bachelor’s degree, the women had better circumstance than the men.
With regard to the post-school levels, which the males were qualified more than females, generally all the men were accepted to skilled vocational diploma (approximately 90%), while this was for the women one in ten, the lowest rate between all the sexes and tertiary levels. Despite the men with 70% and 60% rate of acceptance in postgraduate diploma and master’s respectively, that of women were less than a third and two-fifths in order.
Turning to the academic levels that the females had more rate of qualification than the males, the proportion of the women who passed undergraduate diploma and Bachelor’s were seven in ten and just more than on in ten respectively. The rate of acceptance of the men was fairly similar in these mentioned levels, somewhere in the vicinity of 35%.
