Kazakh population number was decrease until 1939, but then grow from 1939 to 2019. In 2019, Kazakh population number achieve to the peak (12.587 million). Other ethnic groups decrease gradual between 1989 and 2019 (from 9.92 million to 5.8 million).

Overall, the most significant growth in the Kazakh population occurred between 1989 and 2019. In contrast, the number of other ethnic groups peaked in 1989 and then declined steadily.
