The pie chart illustrates, compared with Australia, household energy and greenhouse gas sources for six different stages.
Overall, it is clear that in Australia, household energy is most commonly used for heating, while greenhouse gas is used at the highest percentage rate in water heating.
The majority of Australian energy is used for only heating, with 42% for greenhouse gas emissions and 15% for greenhouse gases. However, the figure for greenhouses shows a significant proportion of water heating at 32% compared with energy use; if there is less than 2%, then the greenhouse is at 30%.
Moreover, other appliances have a number of proportions, with 28% emitting greenhouse gases but only 15% using energy in this same section. On the other hand, in both refrigeration and lighting, Australian greenhouse gas has a double percentage of 40% and 8% compared to household energy use. Finally, the cooling section of greenhouse gas has more than one person compared with energy at 2%.
